background with nature

Big welcome to my newest followers.

I had a bit of a fun day making my backgrounds
using flowers from my garden and pressing
them through the hot shot in between my  my cardstock.
The results are gorgeous as is the scent from the flowers.

I coloured an image by Sherri Baldy with copic markers
cut her on the scan and cut and placed onto my

Here is a close up of my background.
The colours all came out of my flowers which were
impatiens, petunia and geraniums.

That sounds so wonderful as I sit here just having completed a sinus rinse and we have winter chill advisory for today as our temps our the lowest of the week. We are in the single digits with the wind chill bringing us below zero since the wind is nasty and I can't imagine beginning to smell flowers right now so ENJOY!!! I know it comes around, but I will keep my electric blanket on right now to keep warm as I type, hehe. It is a stunning background and looks adorable with the Sherri Baldy image. Great color choice.

Wonderful card Annie! Gorgeous beautifully coloured image. Just love how you've created the background with flowers from your garden. Wish there was 'scratch and sniff' on the blog so I could smell the flowers :).
Thanks for the heads up about your giveaway, I'm trying to be good and not get any stamps I might not use which includes the ones in the sales that I might like to own, it's killing me :D! Debra x
