Memory Lane

Travelling down 'memory lane' and catching up
on my scrap pages I made one of my parents,
while they were still in Germany just after WW11
and before their journey to Australia.
I used some gesso on the background paper
and used a stickle brush to brush 'down'
to make an effect.
"Americana" stencil and texture paste mixed
with grey paint for the dotty effect.
An old wooden stamp by 'Victoria's Secret' stamped with
white ink block.
Splats of watery white paint used as well.
Hearts were stamped with white ink block.
Mesh stamped with white ink was
used for the background too.

Challenge:
Bling, Buttons, Brads, Sequins or Enamel Dots

What a fabulous picture of your parents. I love going to someone's house and looking at old pictures. Nobody ever puts pictures in albums anymore. I know you wish your parents were still around to tell you stories of back then. What fun to sit and listen to those stories. This is a lovely layout. [Bunny]`

This touches my heart, Annie. What a wonderful photo beautifully preserved forever on your page, and quite a journey for your parents. I'm in the process of preserving all my old scrapbook pages and photos in Shutterfly books. It will take me all year, but it's my one resolution I plan to stick to this year.
