Gosh, it's been a long time since I could play
with these gorgeous images by Mitzi of Aurora Wings,
I have a library full and couldn't decide which one to colour
so in the end I went for this one which has big eyes.
"Lotus Sprite"
"Blue eyes", for some reason, by Elton John came to mind
..lovely song so I coloured her eyes really blue..

Printing my image onto texture paper I then coloured with copic
markers, added DP and sentiment I designed on the cameo.

Been a while since I had a chance to play with my
Aurora Wings images.
My image is called Wine Sprite
coloured with copic markers and a few water colour
clip artwork for my background.

We live in the region of the Hunter Valley, here in
New South Wales, a wine growing district.
My card is made for a friend who has recently
retired from the sales area in the Barossa Valley,
which is where we used to live in South Australia.
It too is a wine growing area. On the edge of each row of
grapes they grow roses. Why? Read Here.

kitten stocking♥

Been a while since I had a chance to make up something
using one of Aurora Wings images. Neighbour asked
me to make some Christmas candles for decorations
so though this image was cute and ideal.
She loved them.

This cutie was coloured with copic markers and
some stickles added later once it was attached
to the candle.
Image is called...
"Kitten in a stocking"
[which is on sale at the moment]

Challenge:
Aurora Wings....anything but a card

Have you tried Stamping Candles, it's inexpensive and so easy!
1. Get your stamps that you want to transfer to your candle
2. You need tissue paper (the regular kind that you use for gift wrapping).
3. Using Stazon Ink stamp your images on the tissue paper and cut out the stamped images close to the graphic.
4. Cut a piece of Wax Paper to cover the stamped tissue paper.
4. Wrap the stamped image around the candle tightly with the Wax Paper on the outside and the tissue paper underneath.
5. Using a Heat Gun or hair dryer blow hot air over the Wax Paper that has the graphics under it.
6. Peel off the Wax Paper and you have a stamped candle that won't rub off.

Here's some tips:
The wax paper can be used over and over, just use a new spot each time
If you do not have the wax side of the paper towards the candle you will know right away because the tissue graphic will not stick to the candle
When the graphic is stuck to the candle you will know because you will no longer see the tissue paper edges through the waxed paper.
Do not heat for to long and melt your candle, you just want to melt the wax off the wax paper.
You can lift up the wax paper and check as often as you like, once you have started the heating process the graphic will not move.
You can colour the tissue paper before you melt it down, say if you want to colour in a flower
Use a garden glove on to hold the wax paper when heating as the heat from the hair dryer can get a little warm

and making my own flowers.  I have seen many video's on making
flowers with Foamiran  which is hard to find here in Australia, so a purchase was made and hopefully they will arrive soon so I can play

Second option was to make flowers using DP, dies, stamens and inks.
