The 'newsprint' technique

My embossing actually now looks a bit like the bleaching effect,
and it is brighter. Another plus is you can then stamp over it all.

The colours in my tag are a reminder that the
summer holidays are just around the corner for my part
of the world. The blue and green resemble the colours of the
sea and surf and the off white resembles the sand.

Stamps used are both from Rubber Dance called
Clear embossing powder and Distressed Inks were used.

Great technique, Annie - thanks for the links - "back in the day (some 12-13 years ago), we called this technique "batik". It was the only time many of us used an iron LOL It's really a great look, and different "feels" are achieved according to the color of embossing powder and/or underlying ink used.

Annie that is gorgeous and you are ALWAYS doing something new. For me, I seem to forget so everyday seems new, hehe. I shouldn't laugh since my kids will get me a diagnosis of Alzheimer Disease just so they can control me and my $$$ and then I won't be able to afford my craft supplies.
