Fashionable Stamping & Garden Makeover

Playing with heat embossing, distressed oxides and stamping.
I stamped my Fly-Fly flowers stamp from Rubber Dance,
 with versamark stamp pad,
onto a background designed with the D/O inks, then
heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Fussy cut my stamp and double mounted onto my background.
Then I stamped the same stamp in the misti with the D/O and fussy cut
part of it out and double mounted onto the heat embossed stamp.
Most of my techniques have come together from a learning process from
Karen's blog...thanks Karen.xx

"Fly-Fly Flower"

Check out my birthday candy

The challenge at rubber dance has a fabulous colour
board this time to use...

I used my  Tim Holtz Distressed Inks and smooshed the background
over my masked stamp. What was still left on the acetate,
I splattered onto my background.
I then stamped again onto another card, stamped
with the same stamps then fussy cut and double mounted
onto my bottom layered stamp.

Stamp called "Fly-fly Flowers" is just gorgeous and can be purchased
at Rubber Dance or Aussie residence at Ink Art Designs.

roll on summer

More new stamps from Rubber Dance, thanks Dot,
for posting so promptly.  [These stamps can be
purchased here in Australia at Ink Art Designs.]
I am using Retro Beach.
While waiting for my stamps to arrive, I decided to
challenge myself with a few beach scenes.
Acrylic paints onto canvas was my first time to play.
The Result:

After stamping with black versafine ink, I then clear embossed
and gave it a shot with the heat gun.
Thanks Karen for this idea.
The canvas soaks up the ink.

Also, sharing a mixed media creation but this time onto glossy
card stock. [not for the challenge]. Using mixed media paste,
stencils and TH distress inks.

newsprint technique

Today I experimented with another technique,
The 'newsprint' technique
Please click onto one of the links above to read how to do this.
My embossing actually now looks a bit like the bleaching effect,
and it is brighter.  Another plus is you can then stamp over it all.
 Go check it out.

The colours in my tag are a reminder that the
summer holidays are just around the corner for my part
of the world. The blue and green resemble the colours of the
sea and surf and the off white resembles the sand.

Stamps used are both from Rubber Dance called
Clear embossing powder and Distressed Inks were used.

Use up the scrap stash

Trying to squeeze another project in for the Rubber Dance challenge.
For my mixed media/journal project I used  the negative left
overs from my dies that were in my 'scrap' stash.
JoSonja's texture paste and old acrylic paints were used.
For my circles I use a top from a fabric softner.

Text and butterfly are new stamps from Rubber Dance Stamps,
called Butterfly Trio, stamped the smallest one and fussy cut,
Text stamps are called Affirmations Stamped with Versafine Spanish Moss ink.
I also used a Rubber Dance script stamp.

These stamps can also be purchased if you live in Australia from

bubbling away

Hi lovely people. Sharing today a card I made using the
bubble technique. My background was made using
acrylic ink, water, detergent and a straw. A bit
messy in the process but loved the results.

I then squished ecoline inks over the top of the bubbles
and used an old glass to make the big circles with left over
paint on my craft sheet.
Stamps used are from Rubber Dance Stamps
called "Textured Flowers", and a set I use
many times over and over.

"Rule of 3"

Big Welcome to my blog Bev, you have some gorgeous displays
& well worth visiting your blog..♥

My newest set of stamps arrived last week from Rubber Dance Stamps
so I am taking advantage of my lovely Butterfly Trio stamps,
Vintage script and Artfully stamped [the sentiment]

Background was designed using mixed media stencil by ARTplorations,
texture paste, embossing of the script, brusho's  and dylusion sprays.
After stamping and heat embossing my butterfly stamps onto more mixed media
paper, I then fussy cut them out and placed accordingly onto my creation.
Always fun in the making.
