Flamingo

Have you entered the fabulous challenges at
Some great inspirations and challenges and their
theme this challenge is
Use an embossing folder...
Here is my card.

I have all of my embossing folders, around 200, in a
container out of their original packaging so I can't
tell you the name of the one I am using.
Embossing only half of the card plus
DP and a Flamingo cut on the cameo.
My die is the perfect size for
the circle of the card.

This card is for a special friend who has been unwell for a while...

very basic...

At Back to basics challenge, their theme is to make
a very basic, [simple] stepper card.
Well the one I first made would not be described as simple/basic,
so I did not post it this time.
My stepper posted here is as simple as A, B, C.
Anyone can make it... Come and join their
fun challenges and show off your card.

geraniums

I am using the gorgeous
Geranium stamps from Power Poppy.
Using the 'spotlight' technique I coloured my geraniums
with copic markers and simply placed it onto cardstock.

This is my 'reverse' of spotlight technique as I wanted the back as
my highlight.

The Melting Pot

Many years ago, like 10, I purchased a Ranger Melting Pot,
I had it packed away but lately many are bringing these
kinds of embossing 'back to life' for challenges.

Out came my
pot from hiding and this is my result
Using some embossing powers but mainly UTEE
being a thicker powder and great for this melting pot.
Several layers were added of mainly two colours to
add to the thickness.  I stamped a star stamp onto
the top of the frame for a bit of 'roughness'!
Frantage was also used..
Stamping my flower and white embossing it, I then coloured
with Nuvo aqua pens.
**I love any type of embossing, but have to admit using the melting pot
and UTEE has to be my favourite.  The colours are always spectacular
and you can re-melt the powder to use again and again. The results
are always different with an added shine.**

Relax, fold back

A cold and dreary day here 'down under', what else to do but craft?!
Recently I found this new challenge blog and it looks great.
So I decided to join in and also be inspired.
My Fold back card I designed myself on my silhouette cameo
used pretty DP from my stash as well to decorate.
Simple but fun to make.
