dandelions

Last  night I put together some ice cream sticks
from the dollar store then did some acrylic paint
pour over them.  Once dry, today, after a long walk,
I stamped and heat embossed onto vellum, which has a
woodgrain pattern on it, and also stamped in onyx black
the sentiments.  I used a sponge, Tombow  multi purpose glue
and sponged the glue onto the back of the vellum, so hope it
stays in place...so far so good!! The glue is still 'wet' and seems
to have dulled the brightness of the paint colours.

Oh, my word, this is amazingly beautiful! Absolutely fabulous colors and patterns. This one really wows me. Maybe it's because I love citrus colors so much and this is somewhat citrusy. I don't see the dullness you mentioned, but vellum does mute colors a bit. I like your idea of applying the Tombow glue with a sponge. I might try that. Thanks!

Conniecrafter said...

Oh how cool is that, I love the pattern it made on your sticks, that was such a great idea to use them for this technique. the vellum looks great against it!
