Say it with Flowers

Has anyone tried the new blogger which is apparently changing soon?  I did and don't mind it at all and seeing it will be automatically changed over by end of July it's a good time to learn. I know how to enlarge the pics so if you have any questions email me in the contact list on my blog... A bit bored to day so had a play in photoshop and new blog, new header, may as well go with the 'flow'

Playing with alcohol inks and an image from Power Poppy stamps
"Time to Fly"
I used my scan and cut to cut my stamp, coloured with prisma colour pencils then I cut it into three. [for the Power poppy challenge]. Gold foil was also used onto  my alcohol ink where the areas were still wet. The second part of the alcohol ink sheet was made using the same colours through a stencil on the gelli plate to give the striped effect. [cleaning the stencil and plate immediately]

Auricula Theatre

Hello to you all and I hope this finds you all well, happy and keeping busy.
I decided to join the challenge again at Power Poppy as I have so many  of their gorgeous images, it's nice to get down and colour them in. Using my polychromo pencils and a background I roughly made using chalk paints by Little Birdie.
I seperated my images, as they are digital, to make this design according to the challenge of "Keep Your Distance".  Printed it all up together, coloured, I  then made it  into a card.

Everything's Rosy

Everything's Rosy is the name of this gorgeous image, coloured with deep rich copic colours, a slight brush of ink on a finger dauber for the background. Colouring this image in made me realise, despite the 'grim and dim' in the world at the moment, that beautiful things do surround us.. beauty of flowers in one. Colouring this today I also realised I am totally blessed with the ability to do so.

Hollyberries

After the rainy days, the garden in smiling,
and the fires are out.
Beautiful day today, the magpies are singing ever so
loudly outside. Outdoors day today for sure.
Yesterday, I made a card using
 Hollyberries  set from Power Poppy
coloured with markers, glitter,
& dewdrops added with glossy accent.

Challenge:
As you Like it....rubber or digi? I use both as both are versatile. I do
however, like to use my rubber ones if wanting to heat emboss
and then use my water pens...

La Vie en Rose

Winds and dust has settled today, thank God...
Outside to clean up and wash away the dust, not
the best for asthma.
The fires should get under control and my heart goes
out to the people suffering in the fires in the US.
A lovely stamp used for my card today. I once had a purple
rose and it had the most beautiful scent ever, sadly I
can't remember the name of it but it was beautiful.
I used Zig colour real brush pens, DP
fussy cut my image and  taped onto my card.
Glossy accents used  and a few  paint splats.
[got to have those!]

Bring on the pumpkin/spice

I recently received my lovely Altenew paints which I used
on my image,  stamped, cut on the scan n cut then placed onto
my background of brusho's and texture paste through a TH stencil.
The image is called Fall Haul in digital by Power Poppy.
If you live in Australia and you are after Altenew paints
I purchase my products here in Sydney from Arts & Craft Supplies
You will find so many fabulous products there as well.

The card below is using my ZIG water colour pens, a different
result.  With this one I  scanned my brusho background without the
texture paste, then printed my image directly onto it before
colouring in.. Die cut several times before making it a 3D look.

winter 'pick me up'

Great days when it's cooler and we can sit in our craft rooms
and colour to our "heart's content.
Today is one of those days.
A 'winter pick me  up' card for those of us going into
winter mode and mojo has gone with the sun. 🌤

This card was especially made for a special friend, Maxine, who just recently
lost the love of her life....♥

The image is called "winter pick me up" by Power Poppy Stamps
coloured with copic markers and framed with my Marianne Die.
The outside of the frame was left in black and white where I added
parts of the gorgeous stamp.

sketch two

I love to use Power Poppy stamps/images and with this challenge
there are three sketches you can choose from.  I have chosen the one below.

I used Brusho's and Cosmic Shimmer on my background and spritzed
with water, ready to do some embossing, then remembered,
oh dear, I only have digi images from Power Poppy so my original plan went
down the drain. So an order for stamps are on the list.

Here is my take on the sketch with my designed Background
paper and the beautiful digi stamp called, "graceful still life "
"dancing with daffodils"
